אדריכלות ישראלית - גיליון 122

2020 אוגוסט 122 אדריכלות ישראלית מחווה לאדריכל איטלקי 59 | | Filinona, B&B Hotel, Noto, Sicily The design concept of the boutique hotel near the historical center of the Baroque town concentrates on forming local identity via daily traditional objects with a minimal investment to balance the luxurious amenities required by the guests. The little hotel contains only three rooms on two storeys, connected by a staircase with a poster simulating an exit to the street. Every room has its own theme expressed in a seemingly naïve arrangement of items characteristic of the place - Sicilian cards, woven baskets, and ornate ceramic plates. However, closer inspection of the arrangement reveals a calculated geometric order in accordance with the dimensions of the room and, in particular, the observation angle. . In each room, the floor is paved with traditional tiles, promoting a contemporary, modern comfort that draws its atmosphere from the Sicilian design heritage. Architect: Salvatore Spataro.
