The Grace of Ageing אדריכלות ישראלית Architecture of Israel # 126 August 2021 78 | | Space No 9 - Design Mall Beit Eshel 9, Jaffa Adjacent to the Jaffa flea market, the design mall was organised within three buildings that underwent conservation, uniting several stores within one large space. The idea was to create a multi-system interactive space, combining design and art, from the planning stage by architects and designers, and ending with design products by commercial companies located in conceptual selling positions. The artistically designed roof was intended to attract casual passersby and buyers. In order to depict the spirit of the needy Flea Market, a colourful expressionist wall was placed at the southern entrance, embedding vintage details from the Market, and contributing to the revitalisation of the historical surroundings.
