On the southern roof are photovoltaic panels providing electricity for private consumption, ventilation and the heat pump. Placed below the shadowing slanted walls of the upper floor, windows on the ground floor allow penetration of low sunlight in the winter, while preventing the high sunlight during the summer. Electric roof windows enable automatic protection from rain and release of hot air in the summer, with cold air pumping through the shady balcony and shutters on the northern facade.
