2022 מאי 129 אורח העונה - מתיו פורסט אדריכלות ישראלית 73 | | Chengdu Bridge Market, China (conceptual design) Planned to be built at the entrance to the future commercial and artistic district, the bridge over the canal that splits the city, presents an opportunity to plan a Venice-like market. A tribute to the traditional roofs of Sichuan, the concept offers a paradoxical design, based on one hand on the randomly created texture of ancient villages, while roofed on the other hand by a modern mall glass shelter, flooding the public space with natural light. Suggesting more than it shows, the blurry glass from a distance is meant to attract visitors, especially at night when it is full of life. Above: View of the bridge. Below: Central staircase.
