The synagogue was established in 1982 by Romanian settlers a few years after the land was purchased from the Arab village of al-Ja'una on a site on which a synagogue was previously built. Built in Ashkenazi style, the synagogue has benches on both sides of the alter and is covered with a tiled roof.
