אדריכלות ישראלית - גיליון 137

11 | | 2024 מאי 137 חומר לעבודה - סקיצות פרלימינריות אדריכלות ישראלית | The new building of the Shalit Scouts Tribe, Kfar Saba Located in a green neighborhood at the western end of Kfar Saba, unlike the schematic, strict space organization in ordinary schools, the preliminary sketch was based on a non-institutional activity, enabling random activity. The search for a unique solution yielded an open space; labyrinth-like, yet flexible, self-expressing via forms and colors. One of those sketches inspired the final architectural concept, which defined a series of passages around a central courtyard shaded by a fabric membrane. The plan offers a new three-cluster typology, each comprised of two activity rooms connected to two courtyards which connect to the main courtyard. The courtyard itself is open towards the street, thanks to the use of open, bare concrete blocks, while on the inner side - a closed multifunctional hall acoustically protects the neighbors yearning for peace and quiet.
