The Tel Aviv branch of a long tradition of
family restaurant chains, is a contemporary
interpretation of their motto Terra Vite Vita (Earth
Vine Life). Situated in a long, narrow space
rich with columns in a building in Montefiore
Street, the space is organized in three seating
arrangements: a central bar, casual seating
around portable tables, and intimate seating
along the patio windows.
The general image of a vineyard takes on varying
interpretations by means of a Library of bottles,
that becomes a decorative ceiling; and artificial
lighting that simulates light filtering through the
branches of the vine.
The polished concrete floor emulates Italian
terrazzo floors; a perforated metal screen
along the restaurant gives the space an artistic
dimension; and an iron gate invites visitors to
cross the threshold into an intriguing interior.
